Hello I am Ray Whitworth Co- Host of the Hi Fi Club.
The Hifi Club has its origins dating back to 1959 on KXOL Ft. Worth,Texas. The Original Host was George Carlin, yes the very same famous Comedian who brought laughter to North America in the 1960’s through 1980’s. Mike Shannon is the other Co-Host of The Hifi Club who decided one day to revive the show,with a slightly different Twists; some interviews with well known guests, plus “RockUMentaries” of famous rock groups and artists,complete with interviews, and historical factual information about the Bands, Artists, The Albums and The Songs,plus artist interviews about the aforementioned. My career has spanned almost 40 years on air,working at legendary stations like WOAI San Antonio, Texas and KLIF Dallas, Texas,including several other radio stations plus networks. Mike Shannon has also had several years in radio broadcasting,mainly in the Dallas -Ft.Worth Market.
